What Monitor AI is meant to do
Monitor AI is designed to help the app react when selected triggers are detected. In KalmBaby, those triggers can include crying detection and movement detection. When the trigger is detected, the app can start a soothing session automatically.
This feature is meant to support a parent’s routine. It is not a medical device, safety device, or substitute for adult supervision.

Set up calming sounds, white noise, vibration intensity and session length directly in the app.
Why microphone permission matters
Crying detection requires microphone access. If the microphone permission is denied, blocked, or unavailable, Monitor AI cannot listen correctly. The phone also needs to be placed so the microphone is not covered.
Background noise, distance, and placement can affect detection. A quieter, consistent setup helps the app work more predictably.
Why the phone must stay open
Monitor AI needs KalmBaby to stay active in the foreground. Locking the phone, switching apps, or allowing the system to stop the app can interrupt listening, movement detection, sound, and vibration.
Use the in-app Dim or Screen off option if you want the display to be darker while the app remains active.
Movement detection needs stable placement
Movement detection works best when the phone is placed flat and stable. If the phone is moved, covered, or placed on an unstable surface, the movement signal can be unreliable.
The phone must also stay safely out of the baby’s reach. Never place it where the baby can grab it or where it could fall.
A good Monitor AI setup
A practical setup is simple: grant microphone permission, choose crying or movement detection, select the soothing settings, place the phone safely, use in-app screen options, and keep the room calm.
If Monitor AI does not trigger, check microphone permission, foreground status, phone placement, and whether the selected trigger is enabled.
